Conversion

By mumsinbusiness

This month’s newsletter featured a section on how to convert your visitors to customers. One of the main points we covered concerned tracking of your conversions.

Do you know how many visitors you are converting into customers? If not, you need to start now!! If you don’t know what your conversion rate is, how can you increase it?

Start tracking your enquiries vs sales. Keep a spreadsheet of signups to your database vs those who actually purchased from you. Do this for at least 3 months and then you will have a good indication of your conversion rate.

Then it’s time to start improving it!! How???

Capture their details and send newsletters and special offers. Generally people will need to see something 5 times before they will act upon it.

Have special offer of some sort- Generally discounts don’t work- they only lose you valuable profits. Try a buy one get one free, or free gift with each purchase etc.

Start upselling! Bundle your products together to entice a higher sale amount.

Customer service also plays a major part in conversion- if someone can see that you are actually interested in them, they may not purchase right then and there, but they will remember you when they need your services- AND, they will send their friends to you as well!
